Neurobiologically based Psychotherapy: a main way to peace

Neuroscience research proved  the impact of life experiences on brain development and functioning. Our brain is not yet completed at birth, rather is partly built through the experiences it faces. As such negative experiences and aggression are often at the origin of pathology.

From the perspective of Psychotraumathology we’ll deal with trauma and its neurobiological impact on the Nervous System focusing on its  consequences on the Autonomic Nervous System functioning.  Its impairment can compromise for an individual the ability to defend him/herself and to maintain a safe condition.

The Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)/ AIP model will be introduced as an innovative neurobiologically based Psychotherapeutic approach to repair brain post-traumatic disfunctioning paving a way to wellbeing and peace.
