Already in 1968 Günter Ammon abandoned the notion of aggression as primarily directed towards destruction. On the contrary he understood aggression in the sense of „agredi“ as a constructive force as generally understood (Ammon 1970). Aggression is supporting all constructive expressions of life which relate man to other human beings and objects. In other words: Aggression sustains the ability for acting and living in groups as well as for identity development.
